Volvo Trucks is celebrating 80 years of progress in Asia with a lucky draw. Go to www.perspectivesofprogress.com and simply share one of the videos or journeys #Volvo 360!

Recently, I chanced upon this super cool video of Belgian martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme on a Volvo Truck. If you haven’t seen it, BE BLOWN AWAY!  It’s definitely worth a watch.

Following that amazing feat, Volvo Trucks has launched a new campaign – Perspectives of Progress’, which relates Volvo Trucks’ dedication towards driving progress in Asia, having been a part of Asia for the past 80 years and counting. What’s cool about the microsite is that it allows you to explore several Asian destinations with panoramic views of various cities like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Shanghai and Wu Han. My favourite is that of the Mekong River in Laos.

There’s a video on the site which I found to be quite meaningful. It showcases three individuals in Asia who have driven progress in Asia. Having travelled extensively in South East Asia, it is not uncommon to see a family of four, or even five riding a single motorcycle. For the safety of children, a non-profit helmet factory was set up to educate them on the importance of wearing helmets. This story resonated with me the most.
