About The Travelling Squid

Hi, I'm Phebe, the author of this blog. I fell in love with India in 2009, when I lived there for six months. Ever since, I've been trotting across the globe with my trusty backpack sometimes alone and at times with friends, albeit with a questionable sense of direction. Unlike the most courageous, I haven't sold my belongings to travel for a year or two. I currently hold an office job, and would like to show that it is very much possible to pursue one's love for travel and hold a day job at the same time. Check out the About section for more information on me and The Travelling Squid.

Yuengling has got to be one of my favorite America Yuengling has got to be one of my favorite American lagers. The brand sounds Asian but it's actually the anglicized name of a German brewer (Jungling) who moved to the US in 1828. The brewery is now headquartered in Pennsylvania.

Yuengling is maltier than the other American lagers I've had. Reminded me of the Kirin beers I used to have in Singapore 😄🍻

It's also a 'hike' to get from one end to another due to the staircases (and sub-zero temperatures). Definitely worth a visit - for more, see link in bio. Brooklyn Bridge (near Dumbo) is a must-go while in nyc. It's beautiful during sunset, and you get a good view of Manhattan and a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty, [insert a bird idiom here]. Credit to the seagull who posed really well 😄.
